The rotary control device mainly consists of three parts: rotary assembly, shell clamp assembly, and hydraulic control system.
The rotary assembly is the core component, including drive assembly, special rubber core, sealing assembly, bearing assembly, etc. During use, the rotary assembly needs to be connected to the shell via hydraulic or manual clamps.
The hydraulic control system mainly provides power for closing and opening the hydraulic clamps of the rotary control device, and also supplies circulating cooling fluid for the sealing assembly, as well as bearing lubricating oil, pressure balancing oil, etc.

When the rotary control device is in operation, the drilling tool drives the central pipe and sealing rubber core to rotate together with the drill string through the upper drive assembly of the rotary assembly. The sealing rubber core seals the annulus between the drilling tool and the wellhead casing by its own elastic deformation. When pressure exists in the annulus, the well pressure acts on the conical surface of the sealing rubber core to form pressure-assisted sealing, ensuring wellhead safety.
